Corrective Exercise
Corrective Exercise is a movement or exercise designed to correct a specific imbalance or dysfunction. We look at the body as a whole and try to understand where the breakdown is coming from, focusing on releasing the tight muscles and activating the weak ones. Special attention is put on joint position, alignment, and proper muscle activation. The goal of the corrective exercise program is to improve movements and positioning of the body to improve both athletic performance and everyday life. Less compensation and less pain is the end result. A very specific program is designed for each unique body. The trainer identifies poor movement patterns with a thorough assessment and looks for the underlying or root causes. The number one priority in this type of exercise program is restoring mobility and relieving pain.
